More Drawing

2D animation is making a comeback! Sure Computers are a wonderful tool, but I'm all about

chalkin it up to the graphite! Pencil skill, and enhancing with the computer is great. I can't wait until 2d animated movies using traditional animation do make a comeback!

Animation, where is the business located?

Is there an epicenter of animation? Is it North Hollywood? Or New York, or even Japan? Maybe Auckland or Vancouver? I think the Big stuff still comes out of Burbank but there is no center of the universe as far as animation goes. So if you are looking for work, you may be close to an animation city, or can now do your own small projects from home. Let's say you do still want to be apart of the magic of Disney or Warner Brothers, Dreamworks or Pixar? Is it possible for a 28 year old animation person with little formal training to gear up and apply at one of these places? Work is hard to come by in animation I believe. For one reason work comes and goes and it goes more than it comes. There are fewer and more specialized jobs also. So really there are enough animators to handle the animation industry for now. Still, you may have a one and a million chance to be accepted to work in the business if your good enough. I hope.
